Introduction to VTC WLAN Services

Welcome to the Vocational Training Council's Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) services. Our WLAN provides seamless, secure, and high-speed internet access across VTC campuses for students, staff, and authorized users.

Key features include:

  • High-speed connectivity for academic and administrative purposes.
  • Secure authentication using VTC credentials.
  • Support for multiple devices (laptops, tablets, smartphones).
  • Available in all major campus areas, including classrooms, libraries, and common areas.

This service is managed by the Information Technology Office (ITO) to ensure reliable and efficient connectivity for the VTC community.

Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to connect to the VTC WLAN network:

1. Select the Network

Search for available Wi-Fi networks and select VTC-Student or VTC-Staff.

2. Authenticate

Enter your VTC credentials:

  • Username: Your VTC email address (e.g., student@vtc.edu.hk).
  • Password: Your VTC account password.

3. Device Configuration

Ensure your device is configured for WPA2-Enterprise security with PEAP/MSCHAPv2 authentication.

4. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, contact the Campus Local IT support Team or ITO Support Helpdesk
